Craft (how it was made)-You can tell this project had alot of effort and time put into it. The person had to find pictures of Abe and hos family and then take pictures of places. He was able to find a great place to take a picture of a christmas tree. He used photoshop and I'm sure he used adobe lightroom.
Composition (how it was arranged)-I like that he put president Abe with his family in front of a modern christmas tree and with new technology. It is obvious that the person wanted to be clear. The arrangement of color (black and white) makes the picture unique. I think you cant tell it was photoshoped.
Concept (what it is about)-This projet combined the Abe era with the new modern era and depicts Lincoln as a normal person. A normal civilian doing/celebrating a holiday like christmas.

Letting Go
craft(how it was made)-This was a group project between Lauren Podgorak and A.J. They had to take pictures of places and people. I like that they had the people with the right clothes, like the soldier with his uniform. They obviouly had to look for people to participate and help them. They had to spend time brainstorming and figuring what color scheme they would use for their comic. They used photoshop and comic life to do thisproject.
composition (how it was arranged)-The project was easy to understand and the project had a great title that also helped the person reading the comic. I think teh comic was organized in a great way that it was easy for someone to read. I liked the colors orange and blues they used. They made the items that were supposed to stand out, stand out.
concept (what it is about)-The comic is about a family that will eventually let go of a member. It starts with a family of three and the father is a soldier. He departs and never comes back because he dies. At the end you see the folded flag that is a symbol someone gets when a family member in U.S. Army dies. I think it was a great concept.

Craft (how it was made)This was a group project between Zach and James. They had to create a comic. The both of them had to come together adn brainstorm and have several rough drafts of this comic. They had to take pictures of places and people. They used photoshop and comic life to accomplish this project. They had to photoshop people in different places.
Composition (how it was arranged)They started with a great title page that captures peoples attention. They had two great color purple and yellow. The colors helped to give importance to certain things in the image. I think they had great organization. They did a great photoshop work and was very clean. The comic was easy to read and had great dialogue.
Concept (what it is about)The concept of this comic was to have someone waiting, someone with a gift and I think they had a great idea in doing this. They made the comic about a couple who are in a relation ship. The boy is waiting for the girl, then he has a surprise for her. The surpise is not all that great since it's syphilis. The comic is easy to understand.

Craft(how it was made)-This project was made by finding pictures from the Abe era and modern pictures from this era. Katie had a great background picture where she had to photoshop the people in. Im sure she used adobe photoshop and adobe lighroom. She sarurated the images and gave them a different look.
Composition (how it was arranged)-She had the Abe era picture as her background and added the new ear pictures taken by her in the front. She made sure to do a clean photoshop work. I loved the way she arranged the people sitting in the chairs and it looks amazing!
Cconcept (what it is about)-The concept of this project was to combine to eras from the past and now and make something with them. I think she clearly sends the message that Lincoln opened up to people.

Extra Credit: Lipstick and Dynamite

Extra Credit: Lipstick and Dynamite: First Ladies of Wrestling

Craft: The film was made with several old and new video footage from testimonies of women wrestlers in the history of wrestling. The creator of the movie used pictures and videos for her film.

Composition: The film had a great opening/introduction that provided viewers a sense of feeling of what it was like being a women while life was changing because of war. It gives us the information needed, for example that women had to get different jobs, some that were considered to be for men. The film began with an old tv show that had 3 people guessing to find who was "The Fabulous Moolah. " It is clear that many people thought that "The Fabulous Moolah" was a man, since there were two men and only one women. The film later goes and interviews many women wrestlers who tell their story of how they began wrestling and their life experience good and bad in the wrestling world. The film demonstrated the feuds tehy had amongst each other, but alos shows how real they were back in the day as wrestlers. The ending of the movie brought a real good conclusion to the story because in the film the women wrestlers had a reunion. I notice during the end of the film when the clip of the old tv show appears and reveals "The Fabulous Moolah" as true wrestler that the whole movie starts and ends with "Moolah." Once again demonstrating her importance in the wrestling business.

Concept: The film is not only of women wrestlers but of women trying to break stereotypes and certain affiliations as good housewifes. The women were breaking new bounderies and were coming out of the shadows of men. The film depicts the lives of these women and how some learned life experinces that they later used in life from their time as wrestlers and how certain women didn't give wrestling up. The film shows strong women who survived in the world of men in wrestling and how they were as good as men in the ring or out as promoters. The movie made me realize once again that there were other women before me that opened a pathway for all women to be as equal as men in any type of business.
